2010—2013         Salvaged Space Reading Series

This program was created to give playwrights a place to hear early drafts of their work read aloud. Scripts are read in front of playwrights’ peers without having to concern themselves with Q&A or unwanted feedback. Playwrights are chosen by curator Matthew Paul Olmos, given eight hours of rehearsal space, and then hosted with a maximum of 10 invited guests. A salon style discussion afterwards allows the playwright to be as involved in feedback as they choose to be. Recent playwrights include Carla Ching, J. Julian Christopher, Bailey Williams, and Jessica Almasy.
